He's constantly hunted by the memories of her and thinks that he can't move on. But one day Coulson introduces him to Natasha, his new partner, and he's in chook by the incredible resemblance between her and Mary. They start to get along and Natasha starts to fall in love for him and without noticing he falls for her too but Steve is in confusion because he doesn't know if he's falling for Natasha or for the memory of Mary. One day, while talking with Nat he realizes that he doesn't sees her just as a version of Mary and she realizes that too. However Steve sees Natasha almost dying in a lot of their mission and he decides that he doesn't wanna get to attached to her, so he gives her a lame excuse to why they can't be together but she know that is a lie. But while she's gone he realizes that he's doing the same mistake that he did with Mary, when he ran away from her trying to keep her safe but ended up making him gone from her life forever. So he asks Nat for forgiviness and in the end she asks him "Who do You Want Me to Be?" and the answer I leave it to you guys :) ..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................
