How are you? I hope you are finding everything you need in preparation for your birth.

I know that because of the choices you are making, you are going to have an experience that you'll enjoy!

It's amazing to me when I look back and realize that I've done this three times all by myself, without a midwife or doula at my side while giving birth.

At first, I thought I had learned it all the first time around. After all, I'd researched and read everything I could get my hands on.

But I actually learned MORE each time and got better at it.




So I want to make sure that YOU know from the very beginning what I know now so that we can set you up for the best chances of having that natural birth that you desire.

I want to show you something, it's called the fear/pain/tension cycle.




This is the biggest thing you absolutely want to AVOID while you are in labor and delivery.

See what happens is that whenever you feel anything in this cycle, your body's natural response is to automatically lead to the next thing.

For example,

- if you feel a little pain from contractions,
- your body is going to tense up,
- and then your brain is going to tell you to be afraid,
- which then convinces your neurons to travel along a pain pathway
- which then leads to more tension

Do you see how that works?

Or you could be in labor, not so much worried about pain, but then have an anxiety or fear pop up that starts to overwhelm you.




Then the same thing starts to happen.




It's a downward spiral that you DON'T want for your birth because it gets worse and worse, leading to problems such as:

- stalled labor
- contractions plateauing
- dilation pausing
- bad positioning
- stress and fatigue

Then because things aren't going so well, your provider may end up intervening with things like:

- pain medication
- an epidural
- improper positioning
- vacuum extraction
- a cesarean section

We both know we don't want ANY of these things to happen!




Our modern society and westernized culture has convinced of so many thinks about birth that AREN'T true. Such as:

- women have lost the ability to give birth naturally
- c-sections are necessary a third of the time
- women don't have the ability to handle the pain of childbirth
- interventions are necessary to have safe births

These are lies.

So how do you beat this darn fear/pain/tension cycle in the first place?

Let me tell you something that may open your eyes a little bit. I've told myself for years this irrefutable fact that I want you to know.

Billions of women have been doing this for thousands of years, and they never had specialized training.

In fact, millions of women TODAY give birth completely natural without a midwife, or doula, or even a doctor at their side.

How do they do it?




Your body is blessed with everything it needs to grow, birth, and nourish that baby. It has the easy job.

It's YOUR mind, beliefs, heart, and soul that need to be on board with what your body can do.
